The latest WordPress 2.9 Carmen (in honor of Carmen McRae – Jazz Vocalist) has been out since the end of 2009, so now they’ve had chance to iron out a few of the initial bugs I’ve decided to make a quick video to show you some of the latest improvements. Moving from WordPress 2.8 to 2.9 is quite a big change and they have introduced some really great new features which will make life a lot easier and save you more time!
Some of the New Features Include:
1) Upgrade Multiple Plugins at Once
2) Images – New Image Editor
3) Video Embedding – Easier to Publish Videos
4) TRASH Feature (avoid accidentally deleting important posts!)

The main point of a widget is to make it quick and easy to add functionality to your blog without the need to be a software coder. You literally just need to point and click to set up your widgets. There are lots of different widgets available which let you arrange your layout and include things like Categories, tag clouds, calendars, text, opt-in boxes and much much more!

You never know what might happen next! Just in case, it is much safer to make sure that you regularly back up your WordPress files. To do this manually would be time consuming and tedious, therefore this vidoe will show you how to put your WordPress back up on autopilot! You will have the choice of back up files being sent to you via email or just saved onto a special web files within your webspace. Either way, you will always have a back up to minimise your losses.
This is kind of boring side to managing websites as it isn’t very exciting or glamorous – but please make sure you install the special back up system. It will only take 10 minutes or less once you know how to do it – once you’ve installed it, that’s about all you need to worry about. Install it now! Imagine how bad you’ll feel in three months time if you lose everything!
